Lenovo has announced a complete upgrade to the ThinkPad T, X, L, and P series, introducing new models with 11th Gen Intel Core processors and AMD Ryzen 5000 Mobile. Some notebooks also offer an AMD or NVIDIA discrete video card, fingerprint reader, and 5G connectivity. It is expected to hit the market between March and May 2021.

Lenovo ThinkPad T14, T14s and T15

This series is considered the best for productivity. The ThinkPad T14 and T14s are available with a 14-inch screen (FHD or 4K), 11th Gen Intel Core vPro processors and AMD Ryzen 5000, up to 48GB of RAM, up to 2TB PCIe SSD, integrated Iris Xe video card and Radeon or discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX450.



Connectivity is guaranteed by the modules Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, LTE and 5G (T14s only). The ThinkPad T15 instead has a 15-inch screen (FHD and 4K), Intel Core vPro processors, up to 48 GB of RAM, PCIe SSD up to 2 TB, integrated Iris Xe video card or discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX450. Prices for base configurations range from $ 1,159 to $ 1,499.

Lenovo ThinkPad X13 and X13 Yoga

The ThinkPad X13 and X13 Yoga have several specifications in common with previous ThinkPad T (processors , RAM, SSD). The Intel version of the ThinkPad X13 is also available with a 5G modem. The ThinkPad X13 Yoga is obviously a convertible. Both have a 13.3-inch screen. Base prices range from $ 1,139 to $ 1,379.



Lenovo ThinkPad L14 and L15

The ThinkPad L14 and L15 are the cheapest notebooks. Both series are available with Intel Core vPro and AMD Ryzen 5000 processors. The hardware equipment includes HD and FHD screen from 14 and 15 inches, up to 64 GB of RAM and PCIe SSD up to 1 TB. For the Intel versions you can also choose configurations with NVDIA GeForce MX450 video card and hard disk up to 2 TB.



All integrate Wi-Fi 6 and LTE chips. Intel versions also have the NFC chip. The base price is $ 689.

Lenovo ThinkPad P14s and P15s

The ThinkPad P14s and P15s are mobile workstations with 14 and 15.6-inch screens (FHD or 4K), Intel processors Core and AMD Ryzen Pro, up to 48 GB of RAM, up to 2 TB PCIe SSD, integrated AMD Radeon Pro or Intel Iris Xe video card and discrete NVIDIA T500.



Connectivity is guaranteed by the modules Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1 or 5.2, NFC and LTE. Base prices range from $ 1,169 to $ 1,389.

Lenovo adds to ThinkPad range with updated X13 and X13 Yoga

Lenovo's new ThinkPads include the X13 and X13 Yoga with 16:10 aspect ratio displays and will be available with Intel's 11th Gen or AMD's Ryzen 5000 CPUs.


Lenovo is showing off its newly redesigned X13 and X13 Yoga with a 16:10 aspect ratio and the choice of Intel's 11th Gen Intel Core vPro processors or the latest AMD Ryzen 5000 Series mobile processors. 


For those who want a ThinkPad P14s, there's also the option to configure it with AMD Radeon Pro graphics hardware or NVIDIA graphics. But it depends on the specific model. 


Chip maker AMD took the wraps off Ryzen 5000 series processors for desktops in late 2020, premiering the new Zen 3 architecture and updating its Ryzen 3000 from 2019.


The ThinkPad X13 i and X13 Yoga come with an Intel 11th Gen Intel Core vPro processor, while the ThinkPad X13 has AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile Processor.


There's also the pricier T-series update and low-end options under the L-series brand. 


The ThinkPad T series includes ThinkPad T14s i, T14 i and T15 with 11th Gen Intel Core vPro processors, and the ThinkPad T14s and T14 with an AMD Ryzen 5000.


With huge product portfolios comes a just as large naming system and that also means complicated pricing. The ThinkPad T14s lineup is available from $1,159 but could be bought for $1,499 if you take the ThinkPad T14s i model.


In total, Lenovo has announced laptops with 14 price points that consumers can choose from beginning at $689 for the cheaper ThinkPad L14 and L15 models. The new laptops will be released from March 2021.  


Lenovo saw record Q2 2020 revenue of revenue of $14.5 billion thanks in part to work from home trends. While most laptops Lenovo sells are Windows 10 devices, it's also seen significant uptick in ChromeOS sales. 


According to analyst firm Canalys, Lenovo's Chromebook shipments grew a whopping 1,766% compared to last year to reach 2.8 million units in Q4 2020 — faster than HP, Acer and Samsung, Dell.
