Electronic Arts finally wants its studios to decide on their own!
In an interview with IGN, Chief Studios Officer Laura Miele from Electronic Arts spoke about her job as head of the publisher's internal development studios and new ways these teams can listen to their fans even better. Among other things, one wants to support the wishes of the developers in the future and give them more freedom in new projects. Players should also be more involved here in the future. With the new skate project, College Football, the new editions of Command & Conquer and the Mass Effect Trilogy, Laura Miele already mentioned the first examples of the influence of the change of direction at EA would have. The publisher would like to involve its fans in the process as early as the development of new games. The person in charge also talks about popular brands such as Titanfall, which many followers would like to see another sequel. According to Laura Miele, Respawn has full control over the franchise and what happens to it in the future. However, it also suggests that the team with Apex Legends is currently focusing on the battle royale shooter.
