Famitsu has published the Japanese ranking of the week which runs from 25 to 31 January. Disgaea 6 Defiance of Destiny is the highest new entry of the week with 23,000 copies sold on the Nintendo Switch and just over 15,000 on the
PlayStation 4 for a total of 39,312 units sold at launch.
For comparison Disgaea 5 Alliance of Vengeance opened in April 2015 with 22,725 copies sold only on PlayStation 4. Disgaea 6 can do nothing in any case against Momotaro Dentetsu Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! capable this week of selling another 73,000 copies for a total of over 1.7 million on the retail market.
