Cyberpunk 2077: Hackers blackmail CD Projekt Red, threaten source code leaks
CD Projekt Red fell victim to a cyber attack. As the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher report in a statement published via the short message service Twitter, criminals have attacked the servers and partially encrypted them. "The strangers gained access to our internal network, collected data from the CD project group and left a ransom note," writes the company. In a threatening letter, the criminals asked CDPR to contact them within 48 hours. The blackmail letter was also published by CD Projekt Red.
