Bill Gates' opinion on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies
While the richest man in the world (the supremacy is disputed between Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos) chooses to bet strongly on Bitcoin, those who follow him in third place in the ranking of hi-tech scroungers do not seem particularly attracted to the charm of cryptocurrency. This is the case of Bill Gates, who returned to talk about it after a long silence on the subject.
I don't own Bitcoin, I don't bet against Bitcoin. Trying to look at the phenomenon from a neutral point of view, I think that moving money into a more digital form and lowering the cost of transactions is something the Gates Foundation does in developing countries. However, we do it in such a way that the movements are reversible and guaranteeing transparency on who does what to avoid evasion and illegal activities.

Still on the subject of Bitcoin, Gates is not unbalanced in forecasts on the future of cryptocurrency, considering the fluctuations in value linked to what it defines "mania", factors more related to the interest and hype of the moment than to dynamics attributable to the financial sphere.
In 2018, Microsoft's co-founder and former number one claimed that someone gave him 1 BTC on his birthday, which was sold shortly after. Also three years ago, intervening in an exchange on Reddit, he attributed to the virtual currency the responsibility for some deaths connected to illegal activities perpetrated also through the circulation of the crypto, raising a hive of controversy.

Bitcoin: the former number one of Microsoft is "neutral"
He did so during a connection with CNBC, stimulated by a question that has, among other things, called into question the problem of environmental sustainability, the subject of the book just published (“Climate, how to avoid a disaster”) by Gates. This is his answer.I don't own Bitcoin, I don't bet against Bitcoin. Trying to look at the phenomenon from a neutral point of view, I think that moving money into a more digital form and lowering the cost of transactions is something the Gates Foundation does in developing countries.
