Army of the Dead - first teaser trailer for Zack Snyder's film

A few minutes ago, through his official twitter account, director Zack Snyder released the very first Army of the Dead teaser trailer. This is the first film since the Justice League affair and will be released on Netflix on May 21st.

Army of the Dead marks the director's return to the zombie genre after the excellent remake of Dawn of the Living Dead in 2004.



Let's remember that Army of the Dead follows the aftermath of a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas and the group of mercenaries who venture into the quarantine zone to carry out a major robbery. The film has an international cast of actors including Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Huma Qureshi, Omari Hardwick, Tig Notaro, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Matthias Schweighöfer, Raúl Castillo, Nora Arnezeder and Samantha Vincere .

Army of the Dead - other projects in the pipeline

Netflix seems to want to focus a lot on Zack Snyder and on this reinterpretation in action / heist of the zombie genre enough to make Army of the Dead a real franchise. A few weeks ago we brought you the news that a spin-off film directed by Matthias Schweighöfer who also plans to act in it would be under consideration. The screenwriter, on the other hand, should be Shay Hatten who is also one of the authors of Army of the Dead.

As for the anime series, this will be titled Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas. The show will tell the story of the origins of Scott (Dave Bautista) as Las Vegas finds itself overrun by the first horde of zombies. His rescue team will support him at every turn, but as the team learns more about the zombie outbreak, their loyalty will be tested.
