The Flash - does filming start in April 2021?
The Flash, after the slips caused by the Coronavirus, is expected in theaters on November 4, 2022. The film will be directed by Andy Muschietti (IT) with a screenplay by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey). The director had later confirmed that both Batmans will have substantial parts in the film so these are not just cameos. These revelations are matched by those made a few weeks earlier regarding the tone of the film: the director of IT had confirmed that at the center of the film's plot there will be time travel. Barry Allen will go back in time to try to save his mother, the director said, but we would like to emphasize how it will be a film with so much action and very spectacular but also a part linked to his feelings.
Muschietti then clarified that The Flash is a film where there is a single universe or rather all cinematic universes are valid. An inclusive choice in which everything we have seen exists. The choice of wanting to push on the idea of a multimedia Multiverse, where the test made last year with the television crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths, in which the Flashes had found themselves face to face, seems to be well established.
The Flash, the details of the relaunch of the comic series
A few days ago instead DC announced the new creative team of The Flash, the regular series of the Scarlet Sprinter. The official DC press release confirms that in The Flash # 768 we will find Wally West determined to hang up his costume. After the events of DC Universe: Rebirth, those of Heroes in Crisis and finally Dark Nights: Death Metal, Wally chose the family over the connection with the Force of Speed. But Barry Allen does not seem to agree with this decision and the two will have to confront what happened but not only.
Wally is the only person Oliver Queen has not spoken to since the death of Roy Harper aka Arsenal in Heroes in Crisis and now Green Arrow is the leader of the renewed Justice League. Wally's redemption passes through Barry Allen, Oliver Queen and starts from The Flash # 768.
