Tesla Roadster, the 400 km / h electric hypercar will arrive in 2022
Unveiled as a prototype in 2017, with the intention of starting series production in 2020, Roadster was born as a updated alternative to the previous model produced between 2008 and 2012. The first Roadster was developed in collaboration with Lotus and took up much of the design of the famous Elise. Capable of covering a distance of around 400km on a single charge and burning the shot from 0 to 100 in just under 4 seconds, the Tesla Roadster (2008) was the first car of the Palo Alto brand.
The new variant will be completely different it will inherit only the name. Roadster 2022 will be an electric sports car with two dry seats, capable of covering 0 to 100 in 1.9 seconds and reaching speeds of over 400 km / h. Thanks to the new 4680 batteries, it will also have a range of 1,000 km.
Certainly important numbers but in line with the performance of the Plaid + set-up dedicated to Model S MY 2021, a sedan weighing over 2 tons. In this regard, Musk has stated that an additional Roadster package will be available that will push the hypercar to a level not yet imaginable. It is difficult to understand what Musk means, but surely we will find ourselves in front of a real rocket capable of making all the most powerful and performing endothermic hypercars pale.

Price? The Roadster can be booked with an advance of 43 thousand euros while the base price is around 180 million euros. The “Founders Series” variant, limited to the first 1,000 lucky ones, is instead available for a little over 215 thousand euros which, in this case, are all to be paid in advance.
