Harry Potter: Allegedly Talking Series for HBO Max
After several books and the film adaptations based on them, you may soon be able to experience the world of Harry Potter in series format. At least that's what a recent report by The Hollywood Reporter says. Accordingly, there were already first meetings and discussions between the management of Warner Media and some authors to sound out the prerequisites for such a project.
According to unspecified sources, some ideas for a Harry Potter were already at these meetings -Series discussed, but the project is still in a very early phase. According to current plans, the series is to run on the streaming service HBO Max and include a number of episodes not previously specified. However, there has been no confirmation from Warner Bros. or HBO. When asked by the magazine, a spokesman said: "A Harry Potter series is neither in the studio nor in production on any streaming platform."
What at first sounds like a denial leaves enough room for interpretation at second glance. According to the sources mentioned above, only initial discussions have taken place so far. So far, however, there has not been a green light for the series. Therefore, the statement that it is not in production applies in principle - after all, nothing is currently wrapped up. However, this does not rule out the fact that the project may not move into a more specific phase in the foreseeable future. Anyway, given the huge success of both the books and the movies, it wouldn't be surprising if Warner Bros. decided to continue the brand in a different form.
