Corsair 5000 Series: space, elegance and excellent airflow for the new mid tower cases
Corsair announces the new 5000 chassis series for enthusiasts and gamers who want maximum performance from their cooling system, plenty of room for their builds, all without giving up an elegant and modern design. The 5000D, 5000D Airflow and iCue 5000X RGB models are part of the series, available in both black and white.
The new Corsair 5000 series cases share many of the features, so there will be many points in common. you can enjoy regardless of the model chosen. Corsair 5000D, 5000D Airflow and iCUE 5000X RGB are all mid tower cases and share a lot of space that can accommodate even the most extreme builds and with custom liquid cooling systems.
It is possible to mount all 'inside of these houses a radiator with a maximum size of 360mm both in the upper part and in the front. Alternatively, the front radiator can even be positioned next to the motherboard thanks to the special space left free for ventilation. In total, the cases can accommodate up to ten 120mm fans or four 140mm fans and Corsair includes two 120mm AirGuide fans in the 5000D and 5000D Airflow models. Corsair iCUE 5000X RGB comes with 3 SP RGB Elite AirGuide 120mm fans.
Corsair 5000D Airflow allows you to further optimize the airflow inside. In the upper part it is not only possible to mount up to three fans together with the radiator, it is able to accommodate another three fans on the opposite side to obtain a push-pull configuration.
Corsair iCUE 5000X RGB is made up of 4 tempered glass panels: one on the front, one on the top and two on the sides. Corsair 5000D and its Airflow variant have the left side panel made of tempered glass to show the internal components. While the 5000D uses satin finish metal panels on the front, top and right sides, the 5000D Airflow allows for greater airflow thanks to the grid design these panels are equipped with.
regarding storage, you can find space to insert two 3.5 "HDDs and four 2.5" HDDs or SSDs in these cases. At the top are the power and restart buttons, two USB Type-A ports, a USB Type-C port and a combined jack for microphone and headphones.
Behind the right side panel is the convenient system Corsair's RapidRoute cable management. The "cable cover bar" visible looking inside the PC from the left side and positioned to the right of the motherboard is removable to free up the space dedicated to the radiator or fans.
