Reader survey: vote for your game of the year 2020 - start of the voting phase
Voting for the Game of the Year 2020 has begun: You can now choose your favorite game of the year in our poll below. The list of games released for PC, PS4 / PS5, Xbox One / Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch is long: Cyberpunk 2077, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, The Last of Us Part 2, Assassin's Creed Valhalla - everyone has had the past twelve months Plenty of highlights to offer.
Just in time for the end of a turbulent and eventful year, Cyberpunk 2077 takes off: The new action role-playing game from CD Projekt Red has been available in stores for PC and consoles since December 10th. In our test of the PC version, we praise great characters, a detailed game world and entertaining side quests, among other things. The developers still have to make improvements on the technical side - especially on the consoles.
Adventurers are on the other hand in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The cute Nintendo Switch life simulation scores with lots of free space, a huge selection of items and a charming look. In addition, there are the seasonal events known from the predecessors. Winter is currently arriving on the islands of the players - the big toy day in AC: Horizons takes place on Christmas Eve. The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima are among the highlights of 2020 on PlayStation 4. There are not many exclusive games for the new hardware generation so far, but the devices score with extensive downward compatibilities. Games for PS4 and Xbox One can sometimes be experienced on the new consoles in higher resolutions and with faster loading times. Fans are currently waiting for more supplies: The consoles are completely sold out. We'll keep you up to date in our bargain guide.
