play5 01/21 with title story about the launch of the Playstation 5 u. v. m.
Welcome to the new generation of Playstation! For a few days the PS5 has been more or less available in stores and the lucky gamblers who managed to get hold of a device are enjoying the technical progress. If you are still undecided or have to wait: We'll tell you what our first impressions of the console are and test the most important launch titles - above all our cover story from the last issue. Spider-Man: Miles Morales turned out just as good as the first impressions suggested, and is therefore a wonderful start into the PS5 era.
The remake of Demon's Souls - the forefather of all Souls games - also makes it it already in our test area. The wait was definitely worth it and every PS5 owner can now catch up on the PS3 classic in wonderful next-gen graphics and explore the origins of the genre. You can read in the big test what bothers us a little about the game. We also have a surprise in store: Sackboy: A Big Adventure has become a real hit. The step into the third dimension does the LittleBigPlanet offshoot incredibly well, even if the editor content had to fall by the wayside.
From that point on, we'll look at various third-party titles that make the transition of the two Playstation generations and appear for both the PS4 and the PS5. There would be Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, for example, which we were finally able to explore completely after a lot of detailed previews - and our tester was enthusiastic about the medieval assassination. We also looked at the second Ubisoft Open World title of autumn - Watch Dogs: Legion - for the new play5. In the test you can read why we consider the third part to be perhaps the best of the series so far. And the latest Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War or the Dirt 5 race sequel will also appear for both generations and will be extensively tested by us.
