Cyberpunk 2077, Hotfix 1.05 available on PC: list of specific improvements
CD Projekt RED's hard work is paying off: Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix 1.05 was released on PS4 and Xbox One on the night between 18 and 19 December, an update that fixed a wide variety of technical bugs and several problems to the progression on the two platforms.
The Polish company has ensured that the Hotfix 1.05 will soon arrive on PC too: it has not provided precise timing, but it is possible that the publication is expected in the next few hours or at the most on the day of tomorrow 20 December. In addition to all the improvements we have already talked about, numerous specific interventions will be carried out on Personal Computers:
[AMD SMT] Optimized the use of default cores / threads for 4-core and 6-core AMD Ryzen (TM) processors. The 8-core, 12-core and 16-core processors remain unchanged and perform as they should; Fixed a problem in the way Raw Input was processed; Removed the use of the AVX instruction set to resolve crashes that occurred at the end of the Prologue on non-AVX processors; Removed the debug console to prevent functions that could cause crashes or blocked missions; Fixed the problem of anomalous crashes with Steam Overlay when closing the game; Ray-traced reflections should no longer appear too bright in relation to the environment; Removed memory_pool_budgets.csv file. which was not related to the final version of the game and had no influence on it (it was a leftover file used during development to estimate memory usage. It had no effect on the amount of memory actually allocated). The perceived performance increase after editing the file may have been related to restarting the game. The removal of the debug console, CD Projekt RED is keen to point out, does not represent an attack on the modder community. Modding will continue to be supported, but at the moment there are other priorities and more details about it will be revealed soon.
Update 20 December 08:15: in the night the Hotfix 1.05 of Cyberpunk 2077 was also released on PC. The only platform not covered yet is Google Stadia.
