Cyberpunk 2077: CDPR takes position on the problems on PS4 and Xbox One
Cyberpunk 2077 marks the release of the new action role-playing game from CD Projekt Red. In our detailed PC test, we praise a detailed game world, great characters and exciting side quests, but criticize technical inadequacies such as bugs and glitches. Cyberpunk 2077 is currently anything but smoothly running on PS4 and Xbox One: Players are reporting serious technical problems, including crashes, clipping errors, bugs and low frame rates. Via the short message service Twitter, CDPR takes a position on this issue - and apologizes for not showing Cyberpunk 2077 on the basic last-gen consoles before the release. The PS4 and Xbox One should have been given more attention.
In addition, CD Projekt Red announced that it wanted to eliminate bugs and crashes and improve overall performance. "The first round of updates is already available and the next patch will appear within the next seven days," CDPR wrote in the Twitter post. Over the weekend, the developers released Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.0.4, which fixed more bugs than previously communicated. Further updates are imminent, CDPR wants to keep players up to date. "After the holidays we are continuing our work and are planning the release of two major patches, starting with Update # 1 in January 2021," write the makers. The second major update for Cyberpunk 2077 will follow in February. The two updates are designed to address the biggest issues in action RPG on the Last Gen consoles. The studio wants to communicate patch notes shortly before the updates are released. (buy now € 54.99)
The developers add: "The updates do not ensure that Cyberpunk 2077 looks the same on the last-gen as it does on a PC with high specs or on the next-gen consoles, but it is getting closer to this one Experience as it is now ". After all, they want to make sure that everyone who buys CDPR's games is satisfied. "We would appreciate it very much if you would give us a chance. If you are not satisfied with the game on your console and do not want to wait for updates, you can also make use of a refund," writes CDPR. Players who bought Cyberpunk 2077 digitally will be referred to the refund system on PSN and Xbox Live. Buyers of a boxed version should first try to obtain a refund through their dealer. If that is not possible, players can contact the developers directly via [email protected] until December 21st.
