Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Demon's Souls are the games of the month for November 2020
We are in a period of great importance for the videogame industry, with PS5 and Xbox Series X just released and a new generation at the start, therefore also the election of the game of the month of November 2020 takes on particular relevance, also given the remarkable abundance of games released in the month in question. In the end, the choice was twofold, as often happens: the editorial team opted for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, while the readers expressed a strong preference for Demon's Souls and in fact the November clash was based on these two games from the first expectations.
It could have gone very differently: if Microsoft had managed to keep the initial plans and Xbox Series X had come out with Halo Infinite, we would have seen an even more interesting clash, but to be honest it would have been enough too. any other important exclusive for the console in question to further revive the landscape. Instead, from this point of view the clash in the end went a bit one-way, considering that PS5 presented itself with various titles specifically dedicated to Sony consoles (including PS4). In any case, beyond the issues of exclusivity or not, the offer was truly rich, adequately reflecting the importance of the historical moment of the market. As it should happen in the month of the launch of the next gen, in short, the month of November represented an excellent showcase of different videogame experiences.
In second position we find the other serious candidate for the role of best title of the month, or Demon's Souls: the remake by Bluepoint is really perfect, in the sense that it manages to propose precisely what it is called to do, taking up the mythical original of From Software and technically adapting it to the new capabilities of PS5, showing some flashes of next gen but remaining strongly anchored to the classic tradition. There was not a huge difference between the first and the second in terms of votes, but the gap still revealed a strong general preference towards the Ubisoft title, at this round, also for the fact of wanting to reward a new production and original compared to a remake. In the specific editorial ranking, to close the podium we find Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which apparently liked a lot in these parts, which led him to overcome Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
For the rest, the remaining votes are distributed over a large number of titles, demonstrating how the preferences are quite scattered on different genres and proposals outside the two games of greatest relevance. The one that stands out most is Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which clearly wins the third place in this special ranking, confirming the popularity enjoyed by the Sega series also with readers. Following, with the same percentage of votes, we find Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, while immediately below these also Gears Tactics emerges, with various other games behind these to have collected the crumbs like Astro's Playroom, Dirt 5 and others.

The choice of editorial staff
It is not often that the votes are scattered too much on a number of candidates greater than one or two, especially when dealing with a rather limited number of voters like the editors of sportsgaming.win, but in this case more credible candidates emerged for the role of the game of the month of November 2020. At the end of the vote, the winner was Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but not without a considerable struggle at the top. With all the flaws that can be found there, the new chapter of the Ubisoft series is still a real show, thanks also to the new setting between Scandinavia and Great Britain able to really move anyone with a simple glance. Even the evolutions applied to the gameplay were quite liked by a good part of the editorial staff, who therefore decided to reward the new chapter by placing it at the top of the game's ranking for the month of November 2020.In second position we find the other serious candidate for the role of best title of the month, or Demon's Souls: the remake by Bluepoint is really perfect, in the sense that it manages to propose precisely what it is called to do, taking up the mythical original of From Software and technically adapting it to the new capabilities of PS5, showing some flashes of next gen but remaining strongly anchored to the classic tradition. The choice of readers
The choice of readers is also clear, who according to the survey published on the pages of sportsgaming.win have decreed Demon's Souls as the game of the month of November 2020. Nothing strange from this point of view : as we said, the Bluepoint title for PS5 had all the credentials to win the title, considering the general affection for this type of titles and that it is one of the first games specifically dedicated to PS5, a truly optimal association to bring the title to success, as well as obviously being done really well. At a certain distance we find Assassin's Creed Valhalla in second position, thus replicating the couple at the top seen also in the editorial vote but with reversed places, however demonstrating how these two titles are certainly the top of the November offer. For the rest, the remaining votes are distributed over a large number of titles, demonstrating how the preferences are quite scattered on different genres and proposals outside the two games of greatest relevance.
