Today we want to talk to you about Research chocolates, an important initiative launched by the AIRC Foundation for Cancer Research with the aim of collecting donations for cancer research and, at the same time, raising awareness of this tragic pathology.
Due to the pandemic that is affecting our country, we will not find the classic stands of the foundation that for decades we have found in thousands of Italian squares: for the protection of its volunteers in this delicate phase from a health point of view, the AIRC Foundation has made available the chocolates on Amazon and, by appointment only, in over 1,700 BPM branches distributed throughout the country. On the dedicated Amazon page you can donate € 13.95 to receive 200 grams of Lindt dark chocolate at home in a package dedicated to supporting research and the fight against cancer. The choice of chocolates is not a simple national popular choice, the words of Antonio Moschetta, AIRC scientist of the University of Bari, make us understand the importance that chocolate can have on our health:
“The Consuming about 20 grams of dark chocolate every two days can reduce the levels of circulating inflammation. This is of great importance if we consider the relationship between inflammation and cancer "
