Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity: resolution and frame rate of the video demo
A new video released by the VG Tech channel analyzed the resolution and frame rate of the demo of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. From these images it emerges that the game needs a lot of optimization, as the fluidity drops down to 20 frames per second and the resolution varies a lot according to the context.
In docked mode the base resolution is 1440x810, with some drops to 1013x570. When attached to the TV the UI resolution is at 1920x1080.
In portable mode the base resolution is 960x540, with drops up to 676x380. In this case Nintendo Switch renders the UI at 1280x720.
Despite the variable resolution, the developers have not yet managed to guarantee a smooth and solid experience in all situations. The game, in fact, despite having as its objective to shoot at 30 frames per second, has drops that touch 20fps.
Even in our tried-and-tested demo of Hyrule Warriors: The era of Calamity we reported the technical side as one of the main problems of the game. Will Nintendo and Koei Tecmo be able to fix everything in time for the release?
