AMD's long-awaited Big Navi graphics card series has finally been on the market since yesterday, November 18th - or maybe not, if you look at the availability. Because AMD released the new AMD Radeon RX 6800 and RX 6800 XT for sale since yesterday, also with regard to the custom models of the partner manufacturers. However, all of these are no longer available, i.e. sold out. Since many editorial offices had received at least one copy of one of the two new cars in good time, there are already numerous tests. We will analyze these tests over the next few days, summarize them statistically and, based on them, publish a special on the AMD Radeon RX 6800 and RX 6800 XT in time for the last weekend in November.

According to our colleagues at PC Games Hardware, who were able to test both RX 6800 models, the RX 6800 ranks above the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 and RTX 2080 Ti. The AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT comes in at around 10 percent to the Nvidia RTX 3080. One advantage with AMD is the amount of RAM. Because especially the gamers who spend so much money on a graphics card either want to play at high resolutions or keep the card longer - or both. Nvidia donated 16GB of video RAM to both 6800 models. With Nvidia, the GeForce RTX 3070 only offers 8GB RAM, with the RTX 3080 it is 10GB. Both new graphics cards are priced well, provided they are available at these prices: the AMD Radeon RX 6800 costs 579.99 euros, the 6800 XT 649.99 euros. For comparison: the Founders Editions of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 and 3080 have a recommended price of 499 and 699 euros, respectively.
