PS5: Godfall has almost no uploads, the incredible SSD on video
During the day today some Japanese content creators showed pieces of gameplay that highlight some features of PS5. Among them we obviously find the Dualsense and the SSD. Some things, however, were also treated much more professionally by Famitsu and 4Gamer who in addition to writing in-depth articles with close-up photos of the console were able to make some captures of Godfall and Astro's Playroom.
In particular what surprised us in the video in question that you can also see in this article is that Godfall seems to have practically no loading time. In fact, if you notice well between a death and the respawn within the video, not even a second passes. Obviously, the title certainly has a strong optimization on its side and its next-gen nature certainly encourages the use of the speed of the PS5 SSD. The moment of retry perhaps has just a couple of seconds between the death animation and the moment you have to hold the circle button to respawn.
Astro obviously seems to be helped a lot by the power of PS5 too. and its SSD and it also manages to surprise for being certainly a smaller production and not of the same caliber as the other Sony exclusive. We hope to be able to get our hands on these new titles soon to understand how much the power of these loading times will still have an impact in terms of gameplay.
Even at the end of the PS4 generation we had still seen titles that still had times really remarkable loading times, just think of The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima that even being on PS4 still had a very considerable load time. At the moment there is no more news about it but we can't wait to get our hands on completely next-gen titles to see the hardware exploited properly.
It is already possible to pre-order PS5 in both versions. Digital Edition and Version with Reader.
