PS5 and Xbox Series X and S will all be sold out in 2020, according to Phil Spencer
According to Phil Spencer, Sony and Microsoft will be able to sell all the PS5s and Xbox Series X and S they produce this year. In short, they will both be sold out. The statement was made during a long interview with the Game Reactor site, where the head of the Xbox division touched on various topics, including that of the initial sales of next-gen consoles.
Spencer: "Let's take this Christmas, obviously PlayStation and Xbox are about to launch new consoles. We will try to distribute as many consoles as we can, but I expect both of us to sell all consoles produced in 2020."
Spencer has touched on the subject for explain how at this juncture the Xbox does not need exclusives (let's imagine that it refers to the Halo Infinite postponement), which would only have helped to sell faster when it will still go out of stock.
Will you be right? Easy to say yes, since both consoles are nowhere to be found in different stores, complete with pre-orders canceled by chains that cannot guarantee delivery.
