One Piece - Eiichiro Oda is sick

One Piece - Eiichiro Oda is sick
Through his official twitter account Weekly Shonen Jump confirmed that One Piece is on a forced break. There will be no new chapters of the manga in the next two issues of the magazine or the 44 to be released on October 5 and the next 45 to be released the following week but the serialization should resume regularly starting from the 46 scheduled for October 19 with the Capitol 992.

The conditional is a must because behind this pause there would be an unspecified illness of the author Eiichiro Oda. It should be emphasized that in over two decades of serialization the manga and its author have taken very few breaks, therefore it is likely that the author is not really able to work and produce at the moment.

Only last week Oda had intervened in the magazine, at the end of Chapter 991, declaring that, after adapting the work process to the hygienic-sanitary regulations related to the Coronavirus, he and his team had established a very tight timetable that would have allowed them to publish the historic Chapter 1000 by the end of 2020. These plans will now have to be revised.

One Piece - the end

One Piece Volume has just been available in Japanese comics. 97 in which a reader has uncovered the proverbial Pandora's box and ventured the question that everyone has been asking for a few months now, or asked if there is actually the intention to complete One Piece within the next 5 years.

Surprisingly, the answer came directly from Oda who said that the most exciting part of Luffy's adventures has come to an end. Wano Country is reaching its climax and after this story arc will be illustrated the "greatest" ever drawn in a manga. Oda concluded that his announcement is for readers to become aware of the fact that the story is coming to an end but not to be disheartened because there is still so much to read.

The announcement of the end of One Piece is linked to a new television interview, organized by the band Arashi, granted by Eiichiro Oda and which began to circulate on Japanese televisions, in which he confirmed again that his intentions are to finish the manga within the next 4, 5 years.

The author then corroborates the statements made in the interview published on One Piece Magazine 10 leaked last month and to be released on September 4 in Japan in which he declared that he wanted to collect ideas for the ending after the arc narrative of Wano Country.

In this latest television interview, Oda also confirmed that he has already submitted some ideas to his editors, while not further leaning on content or timing. Is Oda really willing to trace the path to the ending?
