MODOK - first images and clips from the Marvel animated series
EW provided, late yesterday afternoon, the very first look at MODOK with some preview images. This is an animated series made in stop-motion that will debut on Hulu at an unspecified moment in 2021 starring the picturesque villain Marvel.
While in the Italian night the very first clip arrived directly from NYCC:
The MODOK cast includes Patton Oswalt as the protagonist, Aimee Garcia (Lucifer) as his wife Jodie; Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) as the extravagant son Lou and Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as the daughter Melissa, who looks eerily like her father.

In Marvel's MODOK, the megalomaniac MODOK supervillain (Patton Oswalt) has long cherished the dream of one day conquering the whole world. But after years of setbacks and failures battling the most powerful heroes on Earth, M.O.D.O.K. led his evil organization A.I.M. to failure. Ousted from the role of leader of the A.I.M., occupied by his unhappy marriage and his family life, the mental organism designed only to kill is ready to face its greatest challenge: a midlife crisis!

Speaking to EW, producer Jordan Blum said:
Obviously we love the character, this great villain who is always trying to conquer the world and manage his evil organization, the A.I.M. Jack Kirby's design is so absurd and monstrous that we thought: where does this bad boy go at night? Do you have a house and do all the mundane things you usually do? Do you have a family we've never heard of? The more we talked about it, the more the idea made us laugh, then we tried to understand what the family would be like, who would marry a guy like MODOK and how difficult it would be to be his son or be a daughter who looks like MODOK. If you are doing a series about a supervillain, you need to present something more evil that confronts him, like routine and red tape. It's one thing to try and kill Iron Man, but it's another when you have to deal with all that corporate red tape.
