Genshin Impact: the release dates of the next official updates
Genshin Impact, an action RPG and open world title, released on September 28, 2020 for free for PC, PlayStation 4 and mobile devices, continues to establish itself as an incredibly successful title for the Chinese developer miHoYo. The data related to downloads and earnings from microtransactions also demonstrate this. Furthermore, in the previous days we had reported some possible details that could be hypothesized for the next update of the fantastic world of Teyvat. Well, just in the last few hours, the miHoYo developer has announced the official details for the Genshin Impact update.

Specifically, miHoYo has talked about multiple updates, revealing the release date of each of them. The first major update of Genshin Impact, version 1.1, will be available on November 11, 2020 and will add a new event called "The star that never returned". However, although users were now certain, the developer stated that with the 1.1 update it will not add new regions to the game, disillusioning millions of users who believed some irrefutable clues. As it turns out, fans may have to wait until next year to explore Teyvat's other regions. However, the developers have a lot in store for the game, so don't despair.

For version 1.2, however, we will have to wait until December 23, 2020, the day in which Genshin Impact will include the "Dragonspine" area, along with other events. However, Dragonspine is not one of the seven regions planned for the future in the game. As reiterated by miHoYo, in fact, we will still have to wait for this. Finally, a third update will be planned, version 1.3, released in February next year and will include the "Lantern Sea Festival" event in Liyue. And for the more insatiable gamers, it has been officially stated that a new update will be released every six weeks.

Genshin Impact is currently available on PC, mobile devices and PS4. There are rumors of a version for the Nintendo Switch, but it is not clear when it will be released, while an Xbox version, on the other hand, seems very unlikely, as the developers are not willing to develop it.
