ASUS ROG Strix XG32VC, let's see the new 32 ″ QHD curved gaming monitor
Without making an official announcement, ASUS has placed the ROG Strix XG32VC gaming monitor on its website, as spotted by Guru3D colleagues.
XG32VC uses a VA panel with a resolution of 2560x1440p, a static contrast ratio of 3000: 1 and, although it does not use any type of local dimming technology, it has achieved DisplayHDR 400 certification. The 1800R radius of curvature makes it decidedly immersive, but not as immersive as the Samsung G7 line.
Color gamut coverage is 125% of the sRGB spectrum, or 90% of DCI-P3, which is greater than the most gaming displays. The XG32VC is also equipped with a 10-bit panel, which means it can reproduce a wide range of shades without incurring the annoying flaw of banding.
Obviously, this is a ROG-branded product and it aims to competing with some of the best gaming monitors, the XG32VC certainly can't disappoint on the spec side. The device, in fact, offers an MPRT response time of 1ms, has a refresh rate of 170Hz and supports FreeSync Premium technology. The minimum refresh rate is set to 48Hz - and it is safe to assume that, by the time this monitor is available on the market, it will also be compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync.
Connectivity is guaranteed by an HDMI 2.0 port , a DisplayPort 1.2, a USB-C and there's a built-in two-port USB hub.
Unfortunately, we currently don't know the price and release date of the ASUS ROG Strix XG32VC yet, although the Dutch dealer Alternate indicates a cost of € 569, perhaps a bit high given the specifications, but it will be necessary to test the product to verify the actual quality proposed.
Today we told you about ASUS also for its new GeForce RTX 3070 graphics cards of the Strix, TUF and Dual lines. We remind you that the launch of GeForce RTX 3070 is expected on October 29th and the recent postponement of the release date should provide NVIDIA and third parties with enough time to prepare enough stocks to meet buyer demand.
