Xbox Series S: Game sizes will be 30% smaller than on Xbox Series X
Game sizes on Xbox Series S will be about 30% smaller than on Xbox Series X. This was said by Xbox director of program management Jason Ronald, who also explained why.

Aiming for a maximum resolution of 1440p, Xbox Series S will download reduced texture packs compared to those downloaded from Xbox Series X, which will instead be at 4K. Ronald expects all developers to adapt, thus limiting the size of installations on Series S.

In the opinion of many, game installations will be one of the big problems of the new generation. The adoption of expensive SSDs for data storage has reduced the space available and, above all, the expandability of the same (unless you spend a lot of money). Xbox Series S will have a total of 512GB of space, compared to Series X's terabyte. For the record, PS5 will have 825GB of space.

Considering that now many triple A titles are close to or easily break through 100GB of installation, many expect to have to deal with the space occupied issue during the new generation very soon.
