WoW Shadowlands: SSDs become a minimum requirement

WoW Shadowlands: SSDs become a minimum requirement
The world of video games, especially in the PC field, is deeply linked to technological advancement. A more powerful hardware allows for more detailed graphics, higher resolutions and frame rates, but also the decrease in loading times (thanks to SSDs), with all the advantages that this entails (in addition to the "trivial" time savings). SSDs are certainly nothing new, but until now they have never been "mandatory". Well: WoW Shadowlands now makes them (almost) so.

We specify: WoW Shadowlands will also be executable via classic HDD, but the loading times will obviously be much longer. The point of the matter is that for the first time, developers have included the use of an SSD among the minimum requirements. This is a mandatory moment of transition, especially considering that the new generation consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X) will be equipped with an SSD.

HDDs are getting closer to being obsolete and, in the near future , some games may not work except on a computer that is equipped with an SSD. In the PC field this has not happened for now, but in the case of consoles it does: Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart uses the PS5 SSD to introduce narrative and playful mechanics (the instantaneous dimensional leap in settings), impossible to manage with an HDD. br>
For now, however, we only have to worry about WoW Shadowlands and not other games. Here are the minimum requirements:

Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit Processor: Intel Core i5-3450 - AMD FX 8300 Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 - AMD Radeon RX 560 - Intel UHD 630 (45W ) Direct X: 11 Memory: 4 GB RAM Storage space: Solid State Drive (SSD) 100GB Here are the recommended requirements:
