The decision that will be made regarding the TikTok deal, whatever it is, will be the result of considerations that put those related to safety at the top of the list of priorities. So Donald Trump has once again expressed himself on the future of the social network in the United States, which is still rather uncertain.

In short, last week the social network temporarily avoided the ban in the American territory thanks to the potential handshake with Oracle, the terms of which have not completely convinced the US administration that instead of a technical partnership it aims at a real acquisition of the business. The new deadline is set for Sunday and at the moment there is still uncertainty. These are the words of the President gathered during a meeting with the press.

A complex issue, closely linked to the tensions between the United States and China, which calls into question the fears expressed by Trump and his followers regarding national security.

The parent company of the application, the Chinese ByteDance, has said that it is willing to create TikTok Global based in the United States (in Texas) in order to ensure greater transparency in data management and generate up to 25,000 new jobs of work, while maintaining control over a share of the company equal to 80%. We recall that in early August Microsoft had expressed its interest in the purchase, putting on the plate tens of billions of dollars, only to see the offer rejected.
