Thor: Love and Thunder uses The Mandalorian's technology

The new cinecomic about the god of thunder has chosen to employ the same visual effects as the Star Wars world series. In the meantime, waiting for the release scheduled - at the moment - on February 11, 2022, rumors are wasted on the plot where the villain is Christian Bale

The revolutionary visual effects technology, which helped bring the Disney + series to life, will be used in the thunder god cinecomic. It has been revealed, in fact, that Industrial Light and Magic, the VFX branch of Lucasfilm, will support Marvel productions with virtual production services. Director Taika Waititi, who also directed an episode of the Mandalorian serial, has decided to use the technology for the next sequel to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

LucasFilm owns StageCraft in California's Manhattan Beach Studios. The set was created specifically for The Mandalorian and is surrounded by high definition screens, to project images of the real world on screen. Last but not least, a larger customized version will be installed at Fox Studios Australia, precisely for the adventures of Thor & Co. The same technology could also be used for the series dedicated to Obi-Wan Kenobi, in progress for Disney +.
