Initially the function dedicated to virtual events was discovered in Spotify's lines of code by Jane Manchun Wong, reverse engineering expert. But then the platform confirmed the public launch of this new feature.

Through the On Tour section of the artist's page or in the Concert Hub of the application you can find out the dates of the virtual concerts scheduled. The platform will notify fans via email when an artist sets a date for his virtual tour, providing all the details to be able to purchase tickets and attend the event from home.
