Teams: news for notifications and privacy coming soon
Microsoft's commitment to improve Teams continues unabated, one of the products that in the last period have benefited most from the large-scale adoption of tools for smart working, distance learning and, more generally, remote communication. Today the first information on what will be the news introduced in the service from the next update emerges.
Another new entry is related to privacy: users will be able to disable viewing previews for messages and notifications received during meetings, thus preventing them from being intercepted or read by prying eyes. It will come in the form of a new option called “Show message preview”.
The possibility of fixing messages at the top of conversations is also in the works to ensure that the most important ones are received by everyone.

The first concerns the methods of managing notifications: native support of Windows and macOS to be displayed consistently with what the operating system shows.
