Sharp, the new 120 ″ 8K display offers support for HDMI 2.1 and refresh rate up to 120Hz

The Sharp 8M-B120C is based on a 120 ”UV2A II LCD panel (presumably IPS / IGZO) with a resolution of 7680 × 4320, typical brightness of 600nit (although the peak brightness in HDR mode is considerably higher), a contrast ratio of 3500: 1, a GtG response time of 6ms, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz (even if only for 4K content) and viewing angles in both directions of 176 °. The display uses 2048-zone LED backlighting to deliver really high contrast (although, of course, not at the same level as a good OLED). Given the large display size and power consumption, the unit is rated for up to 16 hours of continuous operation.
Sharp claims the 8M-B120C monitor can reproduce 1.07 billion colors and is designed to cover a significant part of the ITU-R BT.2020 color range. In addition, to make colors more vivid, the 8M-B120C provides a slightly better representation of red than that defined by the BT.2020, according to the company. Of course, the display supports HDR technologies, such as HLG.
