Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G: Folders enter a new era
Galaxy Z Fold2 5G is here, ready to accelerate Samsung in the particular foldable smartphone market. The South Korean company has practically improved all the critical issues that emerged with the Galaxy Fold, creating a device that today seems more ready to speak to the general public. The obstacle remains, needless to say, the sale price: it will be sold in Italy at 2,049 euros starting from 18 September. Considering the figures at stake, a key role could be played by telephone operators.

The book design

The usual central hinge, further reinforced, allows the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G to open and close like a book. Compared to the previous model, however, the diagonal of the external screen has been significantly increased: it goes from 4.6 to 6.2 inches (always a Super AMOLED panel) with a resolution of 2,260 x 816 pixels. The strange 25: 9 aspect ratio makes it particularly elongated, so we are waiting to try it by hand to test its actual comfort. In addition, Samsung has embedded a camera in this display with a 10 Megapixel sensor, which allows you to take selfies even when the device is closed.

The internal display, the foldable one, reaches 7.6 inches when open. It is a Dynamic AMOLED with a resolution of 2,208 x 1,768 pixels and loses that particularly intrusive notch seen on the first generation Galaxy Fold. The selfie camera has been integrated directly into the panel, has a 10 Megapixel sensor and has a viewing angle of 80 °. Also in this area, therefore, an objective improvement, at least on paper. We are very curious to test it in the field.
