R-Type Final 2, the new Tokyo Game Show 2020 trailer shows the game in action

On the occasion of the Tokyo Game Show 2020, the developer Granzella showed a new trailer of R-Type Final 2 with unedited gameplay sequences that show it in a semi-final form. You can find it at the head of the news.

The release period has also been announced: spring 2021, which confirms what is reported on the pages of Famitsu. Currently R-Type Final 2 is confirmed for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X> and Series S and Nintendo Switch.

As already reported, R-Type Final 2 is the new chapter of the horizontal scrolling shooter saga born in 1987 in the arcade, a direct sequel to R-Type Final of 2003. At that time the genre was very popular, while today it is followed only by a niche of passionate gamers, a niche not too interesting for the big publishers, who have completely abandoned this kind of products. For this reason Granzella had to resort to Kickstarter to finance the project, where fortunately it raised more than $ 900,000 out of the 400,000 requested.
