PS5, Ubisoft has removed the phrases about backwards compatibility with PS3, PS2 and PS One

It is not the reason that led to the removal of this statement is still clear, but the most obvious is that this information has not been approved by Sony, which, we recall, has not yet commented on what happened. Some hope that this cancellation is due to the fact that the information is outdated or that it could only concern Ubisoft games.
The fact is that the mystery around PS5's backward compatibility is still deep and we still don't know when Sony has intends to reveal all the information that is still missing from PS5. Some suggest early September, but there are no certainties.
Original news - PS5 backwards compatibility will be limited to PlayStation 4 games, apparently: the new Sony console won't run PS3 titles, PS2 and for the first PlayStation.
The news comes from the Ubisoft technical support page which provides information on the transition of PS4 games to the new generation versions, which in the case of the French company will not cost more .
"Backward compatibility will be available for supported PlayStation 4 titles, but will not be accessible for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation games", reads the text drawn up by the Ubisoft technical area.
At this point we imagine that Sony will continue to walk the path of streaming with PlayStation Now on PS5 to ensure backwards compatibility with previous platforms.
