PS5: Sony is telling stores how many consoles it will ship to them for preorder
Sony, in these hours, would be communicating to various retailers throughout Europe the precise amount of PS5 they will get for pre-order. A fundamental information to try to clarify the chaos of the past few days, since in this way it will be possible to skim the reservations and understand who will receive the console in time for Christmas and who will not.
The enthusiasm for the new generation of consoles has brought thousands of gamers flocking to trusted retailers to try and pre-order a PlayStation 5 on launch day. Many have received rather vague information, but now retailers across Europe should know precisely how many consoles they will receive on November 17.
This allows, on the one hand, to skim who will have the console at launch and who no and, on the other hand, to try to see if someone wants to divert the booking towards the Digital model, at the moment the less requested of the two.
In this way buyers can know clearly what their destiny will be and, therefore, whether to try to recover the console somewhere else before Christmas.
These reports come from both the English online shop ShopTo and the Irish division of GameStop, so two rather reliable sources.
This, however, also means that Sony may have run out of stocks of PS5 for 2020 and, barring last-minute surprises, it doesn't expect to be able to put more machines on the market before next year.
What do you think? Have you secured a console before Christmas or will your tree be unmanned?
