PS5: preorder on Amazon sold out in less than 5 minutes!

Last night, Wednesday, September 16, 2020, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced to the world the long-awaited price and release date of the PS5. The new generation console is highly anticipated all over the world and, in particular, in Italy. The players immediately wanted to know how to preorder the PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, the Japanese company has not been very clear from this point of view and each chain has handled it differently. A little while ago, for example, the PS5 preorder on Amazon began. What happened?

The e-commerce giant did not even have time to put online the page that the Italian players rushed to book the own copy, so as to ensure delivery by D1. Obviously we can't know how big the demand has been, but we believe that PS5 stocks for the launch date are not that numerous, at least not for the Italian soil.

PS5 Digital Edition: the unexpected move of Sony. Based on credible reports, also reported by Daniel Ahmad - a well-known analyst at Niko Partners -, Sony has planned to deliver a "sufficient" number of consoles to the US territory to meet the demand. To be sure of arriving on time, the company would have booked 60 flights, faster than sea freight, albeit much more expensive.
