PS5 and Xbox Series X: prices, exclusives, services and everything you need to know
The next generation of consoles is finally among us. With the conclusion of the PlayStation 5 Showcase, the very long communication campaign that, starting from The Game Awards 2019, put us in front of the new consoles, slowly raising the curtain on the Xbox Series X and on the sister Series S, on PS5 and on the All Digital version. Finally, after months of speculation and rumors, we can safely examine the next-gen wait, focusing the spotlight on the entirety of the forces in the field and evaluating the offer of two of the three major giants of the medium.

But before exposing everything that the platform holders will make available to users starting from next November, it is worthwhile to sum up the tortuous path that has led us up to this decisive moment.

Da one part is Sony, the undisputed winner of the past war for the domination of lounge gaming, with a platoon of exclusives capable of annihilating the competition. With an installed base of over 110 million users, the Japanese house could not help but continue with its usual strategy: flood the next console with a flood of first and third party productions that, except for the variants on PC, will only be available for house customers. Less incisive on services, less aggressive on prices, but it doesn't matter: PS5 is the ideal place to play large productions at a rather high price, titles that will hardly and very slowly arrive on other shores.
