Photoshop: Adobe's AI three meters above the sky

Photoshop: Adobe's AI three meters above the sky
Today Adobe, through the YouTube channel dedicated to Photoshop, shows a new feature of the software: it is called Sky Replacement and its name is already quite explanatory to understand what it is for. A godsend for photographers.

Sky Replacement: Photoshop's AI to change the sky

Based on Sensei's artificial intelligence, it allows the user to intervene selectively on the sky present in an image, identifying in a completely automatic way and offering a series of parameters on which to act to correct sharpness, brightness, color temperature, etc. If desired, with a simple click, you can replace it by uploading a different background image.

It is among the innovations that the San Jose software house is introducing in its suite dedicated to creativity. Its business, as evidenced by the financial results of the last quarter, has recently also benefited from the large-scale adoption of solutions for smart working, in particular those based on cloud infrastructures.

Of this and much more will be discussed from 20 to 22 October when the 2020 edition of the MAX Creativity Conference will be staged, this year in an exclusively digital and virtual form as required by the period.

Let's remember finally, that in recent months Photoshop has turned 30 years old. To understand how much and how it has changed, just take a look at the first demo, dated 1990, in the video above. John Knoll, one of its creators, curates it.
