Same price, more power Specifications and nominal power Beyond power: from consumption to support The official presentation of the GeForce RTX 3000 put an end to a furious season of rumors, confirming several of them and denying some. However, we talk about good news, in most cases, starting with the power to get to the prices that have not dropped, at least for consumer models, but have become more affordable thanks to apparently significantly higher performance than in the past and thanks to the repositioning of all models. No Titan, for now, but a GeForce RTX 3090 with 24 GB and a price of 1549 euros which, available from 24 September and designed for 8K at 60fps, replaces it by lowering the spending and giving a nod to the creator segment, where gaming and the professional sphere merge. Therefore, it is not part of the consumer segment, which is underlined by the fact that it is the only one to support the multi-GPU with an NVLink 3 connector where in the role of flagship we find the RTX 3080 which, designed for 4K at 60fps and beyond and in arriving on 17 September at 719 euros, it promises double performance compared to a 2080 and with a lower launch price on the Italian market. And that's something we find with the RTX 3070, a high-framerate 1440p card that, arriving in October with a price of 519 euros, promises slightly more power than an RTX 2080 Ti and undoubtedly aims to annoy the new consoles, also intercepting a good part of those who have skipped the 2000 series, in a world where the gaming PC is constantly growing. Nothing is known, however, of the RTX 3060, but we still expect performance and prices in line with those of the bigger sisters.
