Monolith Edition will release an RPG about Batman
The Batman RPG will immerse players in the atmosphere of Gotham City, an iconic city where crime knows no rest. Players will have to face adventures set in a wide-ranging campaign that will bring to life at the game table the atmosphere of a city that is a real pop icon capable of becoming part of the collective imagination.
Batman : Gotham City Chronicles - The Roleplaying Game will use the D20 System and through the Kickstarter campaign, Monolith Edition will aim to create 5 different game manuals. The editorial line of this RPG will be as follows:
Gotham's Heroes Gotham City Guide Gotham's Chronicles Two volumes on the campaing setting Gotham's Heroes, written by François Verstraete, will be the game's rules manual, which will use the D20 System.
Gotham City Guide, written by Xavier Fournier, Alex Nikolavitch and François Hercouët, will be a supplement dedicated to the setting and world of Batman.
Gotham's Chronicles written by Nicolas Texier, Olivier Caïra and Mahyar Shakeri, will instead be a volume that will collect adventures for Batman: Gotham City Chronicles.
As for the last two volumes, their content will be revealed during the Kickstarter campaign.
Batman : Gotham City Chronicles - The Roleplaying Game will offer several gameplay insights that will embrace Gotham City's ambiguous and ferocious nature, so that sessions can be developed that leave total freedom of narration allowing players to interpret different types of characters, such as costumed vigilantes, police officers or criminals.
Monolith Edition is thus preparing to embark on an ambitious undertaking, however the French publisher has already shown that it has a good familiarity with Batman and his world, producing the board game Batman: Gotham City Chronicles in following another successful campaign that raised more than $ 4 million.
