Microsoft: the new Xbox app to play on the iPhone
The new version of the Xbox app for iPhone and iPad is coming to the App Store, which will allow users to stream games to their devices via the Remote Play function. The app will work by connecting directly with current Xbox One consoles and will likely be updated as soon as the new Xbox Series X and S consoles are also available. Here is another advantageous service that Microsoft has prepared for users to turn the console on and off from the app and continue playing anywhere. Just use your iOS device and the usual Xbox controller.

This system will be similar to the remote play function of PlayStation 4, available for some time for iOS, Android, Windows and Mac. Precisely, players will be able to access the games they already own on their Xbox One console, over Wi-Fi and even cellular networks, but they won't be able to access the Game Pass catalog with their iPhone. Furthermore, this functionality will be different from the xCloud service - a service that does not even require users to own an Xbox, whose purpose is simply to allow you to play directly from Microsoft servers, by accessing a catalog of games in the cloud and streaming them to the your mobile device.

The peculiarity of this app proposed by Microsoft is that, in addition to allowing remote play of games, it includes an ad hoc update to align with the design of the new Xbox interface. In addition, players will also be able to view and share game clips and screenshots, as well as chat with friends across all playable devices.

At the moment, the Xbox app is being tested by Microsoft via TestFlight and the beta is currently not testable by new users. However, it should be available to everyone in the App Store soon, with an update planned for the launch of the Xbox Series X and Series S. And what do you think?
