During Huawei Connect, Zhu Qiuguo, founder and CEO of DeepRobotics, presented a project that used ModelArts and Atlas 200DK to train a quadrupedal robot called “Jueying”. This is the ideal choice for factory inspection: Powered by graphical interactive analysis of knowledge, learning by reinforcement, dynamic decision making and a device-cloud synergy, the robot can analyze the environment on site in real time, intelligently plan routes and take appropriate action to protect industrial parks.ModelArts also assists institutes in scientific brain research. During the same summit, Du Xufei, Director of Mesoconnectome Research Facility, Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology, an affiliate of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), talked about how ModelArts was used to map the entire set of neurons and synaptic connections in the brain of the larval zebrafish, so that its intelligence can be better understood. ModelArts can automatically track and reconstruct neurons with up to 95% accuracy and recall rate. Theoretically, with ModelArts' ultra-large clusters and large-scale distributed training, the total time required for rebuilding can be reduced from 125 years to just 10 days.

To strengthen application enablement, Huawei also unveiled Kunpeng BoostKit, an application enablement kit that provides high-performance open source components, acceleration software packages and tools for reference implementation in traditional scenarios. Kunpeng DevKit instead supports full pipeline development, from code scanning and porting to compilation and performance optimization.Ascend AI is instead a full-stack AI solution that boasts simplified development and maximum performance. This solution enables artificial intelligence developers to address the challenges that arise during algorithm development, application development and service delivery. To allow anyone to develop applications, Huawei Cloud has launched a low-code platform, called ROMA AppCube, which allows you to create applications within a modular architecture, through simple drag-and-drop tools.
After all, the key to developer success is implementation, promotion and monetization. Huawei offers two main platforms for application distribution: Huawei Cloud Marketplace and Huawei AppGallery.
