From Facebook 2 million euros for Italian SMEs
A total of over 580 homegrown companies, based in the Milan and Rome areas, will benefit from grants worth 2 million euros made available by Facebook for small and medium-sized enterprises in our area. The program is made up of financial contributions and advertising credits.

Aid for the recovery of SMEs comes from Facebook

The stated goal is to help them "restart, restructure and restore own business in this difficult year ". Today applications open through the FB portal dedicated to SMEs. So Luca Colombo, Country Director of Facebook Italy, comments on the initiative.

The crisis from COVID-19 is much more than a public health crisis, it is a profound economic crisis. Small businesses have been hit hard and we know they need liquidity, training and digitalization support as consumer buying habits are shifting to digital. In Italy, in fact, during the last few months, 48% of people have increased their online purchases, and 20% of SMEs active on Facebook have declared that in the last month over 50% of their business has been achieved exclusively through digital channels. Transforming your business from a digital point of view therefore becomes a priority that must not be ignored in order to overcome the crisis and undertake the recovery.

The Italian division of the group recently launched the second phase of #piccolegrandimprese. The program, introduced in July, from now until the end of the year will be enriched by Facebook Business Open Days, a series of free monthly webinars during which, thanks to live-chat sessions, it will be possible to interact with FB experts and partners such as Shopify. Talent Garden and Freeformers.
