Fortnite: date of the third birthday and the gifts discovered by the dataminers

Last July 2020 we all believed that Epic Games had forgotten Fortnite's third birthday: in fact, there were no celebrations in the Royal Battle mode. In recent days the situation has been partially clarified: there have not been, because in July of three years ago Salva il Mondo was released, with the PvP then arrived in the following September. We are therefore in possession of the date of the third birthday.

The latter will fall on September 26, 2020, ie the Saturday of next week. Most likely Epic Games is ready to celebrate it (really, this time) given that the new update will land on all consoles and on PC in those days (it is rumored that it will do so on Wednesday). It cannot be ruled out that a live event is organized, but in any case some initiatives (missions, rewards) will jump out in the next update.

In the meantime, it is good to underline how the dataminers have already found Fortnite's third birthday themed objects on Battaglia Reale, precisely in the available game files: these are two covers for weapons and vehicles. They are probably gifts for players, more difficult than new cosmetics in the future offered for a fee in the shop, in exchange for V-Bucks. The reason seems to be that of the frosted birthday cakes, but judge for yourself from the images below.

It goes without saying that Fortnite players on iOS will not be able to enjoy their birthday, due to the ban and the war between Epic Games and Apple.
