Fake gifts from Amazon: watch out for scams

Fake gifts from Amazon: watch out for scams
If you have received a message stating that there is a gift from Amazon Prime waiting for you, trash everything. This is yet another attempt at scam, a hook thrown into the pond of the online world by some attacker with the hope that less savvy users will bite and then give up credentials, information and obviously money.

Postal Police: pay attention to messages on gifts from Amazon

The alert comes from the Postal Police with a brief statement shared on the official website yesterday in which reference is made to numerous reports received from citizens. The scam attempt takes shape in the form of an SMS delivered to the potential victim's phone containing a link that we strongly suggest not to open. In the event of a click, you are directed to a Web page that fairly faithfully reproduces the layout of the e-commerce with a "Congratulations !!" to attract attention at the opening.

Second Notice: NAME SURNAME, we have tried to contact you for your AMAZON-PRIME gift. To request it follow this link.

There you are asked to answer a few questions and finally to enter your credit card details to get a latest generation iPhone (or other products) at a price derisory. Obviously after the transaction you will not receive any phone, but you will find yourself subscribed to a paid service.
