Editorial Cosmo previews Doctor Who comics
Editoriale Cosmo will publish the new Doctor Who comics in Italy. The first volume, out on September 24th, has the title Doctor Who 1: The Twelfth Doctor - Sonic Boom (you can find all the information at this link).
In this first adventure the Doctor will be in France , in Paris, during the reign of Louis XIV, the Sun Kings. The Doctor will discover what really lies behind the identity of the infamous Cardinal Richelieu, an ancient and immortal entity. To help the notorious time traveler there will be an opera singer, Julie D’Aubigny, who hides a particular skill, is a skilled swordsman. Il volume promises to be a real turning point in the narration dedicated to Doctor Who outside the television media. The following authors take part in the project: George Mann, Robbie Morrison, Mariano Laclaustra, Rachel Stott, Carlos Cabrera, Alexandre Siqueira, Hernan Cabrera and Rodrigo Fernandes.
The issues will be monthly and Editoriale Cosmo has also shared the covers of October and November. The second volume entitled Doctor Who 2: The Thirteenth Doctor - A New Beginning will be released next month where the protagonist will have the appearance of Jodie Whittaker. This volume will be all female, in fact among the authors appear Jody Houser, Rachel Stott, Giorgia Sposito and Enrica Eren Angiolini.
The month of November, however, will be the time of the first part of a new story dedicated to the Doctor played on the small screen by Peter Capaldi, entitled Doctor Who 3: The Twelfth Doctor - The Trials of Time (Before Part).
