In the last few hours, two diplomatic visits of all have taken the stage: that of French President Emmanuel Macron in Lebanon and that of Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio in Libya. The goal of the trips is the same: to gain influence in their respective territories, establish themselves as leading players in areas of strategic interest, assert their economic and commercial interests and pave the way for a future of international leadership. However, the results have changed - clearly - and are leaning decisively in favor of France.
