Console Wars, Nintendo VS SEGA in a documentary based on the book by Blake Harris
Console Wars is the new documentary produced by CBS that tells the clash between Nintendo and SEGA between the 80s and 90s, based on the book of the same name by Blake Harris published by Multiplayer Edizioni.
"In 1990 Nintendo had the virtual monopoly of the video game industry. Sega, on the other hand, was just a shaky arcade games company with great aspirations ", reads the synopsis of Console Wars.
" Everything, however, would have changed with the arrival of Tom Kalinske, a former Mattel executive who didn't know anything about video games but was able to win impossible battles. "
" His unconventional tactics, coupled with the sweat and courageous ideas of his employees, transformed Sega in a company capable of facing rival Nintendo, like David against Goliath, in a relentless fight for market dominance. "
" Kalinske could not have imagined, however, that Sega's success would bring him many new enemies and I know Above all that it would end up making Nintendo stronger than ever. "
The documentary will be available on CBS All Access starting September 23, and you can see the trailer below.
