ALEcomics 2020, how the comic festival changes in the era of Covid

2020 will also be bitterly remembered by all fans of comics, films, video games and everything that revolves around pop culture, who, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, were unable to participate in the largest events that, every year, held in our country, but which did not take place in 2020. Maintaining public order in events of this type, already net of the emergency we are experiencing, is already quite complex and requires technical discussions with the police and a good degree of civility on the part of the participants.

ALEcomics, however, does not stop. The Alexandria pop culture festival boldly opens the doors of the Citadel of Alexandria, its Napoleonic fortress, becoming the first post lockdown festival in the Covid era. We have been there and we will tell you about the new face of ALEcomics.

ALEcomics 2020, courage and desire to meet again

Courage and desire to meet again. These are the main weapons used by the first line of patrons, who already about two hours before the opening scheduled for 10 am, form a single orderly row along the sidewalk of Via Pavia, next to the entrance to the Citadel of Alessandria. In the queue we find cosplayers, fans of all kinds and ages and fellow journalists, all rigorously wearing a mask.

The contingent entrance , as well as temperature control and the obligation to wear a mask is carried out by security personnel of the ALEcomics company, Civil Protection and Police forces present at the entrance and throughout the area of ​​the Napoleonic fortress. Everything takes place in an orderly manner and without great expectations, thanks to the great collaboration of the enthusiasts who came from all over Italy.
