Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a recipe accidentally ends up in the new book of a well-known writer
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the protagonist of a very particular case, with a recipe evidently taken from the game over for a sensational error in the new book with a historical setting by John Boyne.
The Irish author in question has previously written numerous books between short stories and novels, among which we remember in particular The boy in the striped pajamas, from which a film that has known remarkable notoriety was also made, focusing on the holocaust of the Jews.
Obviously, something in the "historical" research carried out for the new book, entitled "The Traveler At The Gates of Wisdom", must not have gone in the right direction: as shown by the tweet below , which takes a photo taken and published on Reddit by the user NoNoNo_OhOhOh, at some point within the story, which should have a realistic historical setting, we read that to color a suit with red the protago nista uses "red Lizalfos and four Hylia mushrooms", after mentioning also Octorok's eyes.
It is clear that these are ingredients taken from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Interviewed on the matter, John Boyne admitted that he made a big mistake, evidently taking up the recipe from a solution on how to color clothes and armor in the Nintendo Switch game red, precisely a Polygon article from which the terms.
However, it seems that Boyne has taken it quite cheerfully, claiming that it is an anecdote "that he will tell at meetings and conferences in the years to come", and stating that he has no intention of correcting it even in future editions of the book.
"I don't remember exactly but I must have simply done a search on Google," explained Boyne, "Eh, in some cases you just have to raise your hands and admit that you were wrong!".
OKAY. This is a thread, but it's worth it I promise.
